Chairman of the Board of Directors

Les became involved with Community Health Outreach as a parishioner of St. Peter’s Church in the early 1990’s, and he became a member of the board of directors in 2006.    He serves on the Vestry at St. Peters Church and also volunteers as facility manager.   Les has served as the Vice President of Holman, Inc., a commercial construction company, since 2003.  In 1985, he co-founded and operated Griffin & Holman, Inc.

A native of Colorado, Les was transferred to Jacksonville as plant manager of a food processing company in 1979.  In 1982, he joined an inner city church mission, located in downtown Jacksonville’s Springfield area, which is where Les met his wife Pam, who also worked as part of the inner city mission.  Les and Pam were subsequently married in 1983.  Before joining Jacksonville’s inner city mission, Pam was director of a drug rehab facility for women in San Antonio, Texas, and St. Lois, Missouri.   Les and Pam spent their first year of marriage in South India, where Les oversaw construction of Spirit of Life Bible School in Tirumangalam, India.  Pam gave birth to their son while there.

“It has been a privilege to be a part of and seeing what God is doing at Community Health Outreach, I love the idea of being able to assist people with their physical and spiritual needs.”

Les and Pam have a son, daughter, and one grandson.  They have, with their children, led eleven mission outreach teams to San Salvador, Bahamas, and are involved with mission organizations in Guatemala and Honduras.
