Norm Thagard raised in Jacksonville, graduate of Paxon H.S. comes to reminisce about his experience as the first American to live on the Russian MIR Space Station.  July 7 marks 20 years to the day since he returned from that unique experience.  That was his fourth flight into Space so Dr Thagard will also share tidbits about flying onboard the Space Shuttle.  A Medical Doctor, Marine Aviator, and Astronaut, Dr Thagard will spend approximately an hour followed by questions sharing his space memories.  A member of the Astronaut Hall of Fame and currently a Dean at Florida State University come and celebrate with him the 20th anniversary of his return to Earth from his last Space Flight.  In partnership with MOSH the event is a fundraiser for Community Health Outreach also known as The Apple Project.
